Accessibility & Comfort

A plain-language guide to the choices built into this website, the needs considered, and how to tell us when something creates a barrier.

Last reviewed August 12, 2026

01 · Our approach

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility.

This website is designed to reduce common barriers for disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, sensory-sensitive, traumatized, grieving, fatigued, and mentally or emotionally overwhelmed visitors.

Access needs may be visible or invisible, permanent or temporary, consistent or changing. What helps one person may not help another, and some needs can conflict. The goal is to provide useful choices—not to claim that one design works for every person or every condition.

No diagnosis is required to use an accessibility setting or ask for help.

02 · Your controls

Adjust the website around what helps you.

Open the Accessibility button near the lower-left corner of any page to choose larger text, an easier-to-read font, more spacing, higher contrast, reduced motion, or a calmer visual view.

Optional pause reminders are off unless you choose them. Your choices are saved only on the device you are using. You can change or reset them at any time.

The website also respects supported device preferences for reduced motion and increased contrast.

03 · Built-in support

Clear structure should not depend on one kind of body or mind.

  • Skip links help keyboard and screen-reader users move past repeated navigation.
  • Headings, landmarks, labels, field instructions, and status messages support clearer navigation.
  • Visible focus indicators show where keyboard attention is located.
  • Buttons and controls are designed for comfortable keyboard, touch, and pointer use.
  • Videos do not start automatically, and important information is also provided in text.
  • Plain-language explanations describe what something is, what happens next, and whether it is available now.
  • Book cart actions use product-specific labels and status announcements, while prices and totals are written in text rather than communicated by color alone.
  • You may pause, leave, return, or skip optional material. No public page requires you to finish in one sitting.

04 · Language & communication

Ask for the language or communication format that helps.

This website is written in English, and your device or browser may offer automatic translation. Translation quality can vary across the website, Google appointment form, and other connected services.

If another language or communication format would help you understand massage information or make an appointment request, email bookings.shaydagoddess@gmail.com and share what you prefer. Shay-Lin will explain the support currently available and help confirm important details such as price, consent, health information, and booking status.

05 · Mental, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and physical needs

A person is more than a diagnosis, symptom, or capacity level.

The website avoids assuming what a visitor can see, hear, process, remember, tolerate, believe, feel, or physically do. It also avoids treating productivity, independence, calmness, positivity, cure, or constant participation as proof of human worth or flourishing.

Some SHAYDAGODDESS™ creative work includes optional faith or spiritual reflection. It remains separate from medical, mental-health, crisis, or diagnostic services.

Website information and comfort tools are designed to support access alongside any individualized professional support a visitor may use.

06 · Outside services

Some linked pathways are controlled by other providers.

Google Forms, Gumroad, Facebook, YouTube, the dedicated bookstore, and other linked websites control their own accessibility, privacy, and technical behavior. Their experience may not match the settings selected on this website. Any future approved bookstore purchase link will return to this Main Hub so release status, checkout, and protected delivery remain in one verified place.

If the Google appointment form is difficult to use, the massage request page also provides an email pathway. You may ask for help completing a request without sharing a diagnosis.

07 · Report a barrier

Please tell us what you were trying to do and what would make it easier.

Include the page, task, what happened, and the format or adjustment that may help. Device and browser details are useful when you know them, but they are not required.

You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or private health information. A response may include an accessible alternative, clarification, or a plan to correct a website barrier.

Accessibility questions or barrier reports

Use the subject line “Accessibility Support” so the request is easy to identify.
